Creating your own Tarot Encyclopedia

Collecting information and insights into different cards in one easy-to-reference location is a great way to deepen your ability to conduct readings. Building your own references helps support the memorization process, generates a study aid, and makes it easier to find important information later. Since this course walks you through building a relationship with Tarot card by card, now is the perfect opportunity to build the beginnings of your own Tarot Encyclopedia.

A Basic Starting Point

Here is an option for starting an entry on a card. You can see that it includes:

Notice the space left in each category of interpretation. This is for you to fill out more as you conduct readings and see the card in action!

A Future Version

Here you see my current reference card for The Hierophant. I title it and put the Trump key next to the name, then include:

  • Qabalistic & Astrological Correspondences
  • Information from personal scrying
  • My take on standard meanings
  • Other correspondences I consider true for me with my own notes.

As your notes are updated and recreated, the form may change significantly—or it might not! Remember that this is all about what works for you.
