Welcome!

We are a community of practitioners setting up an environment of real human support, mutual aid, and an understanding that building interpersonal relationships is a key aspect to our own empowerment and development. We’re focused on creating a more organic network of relationships, where we teach others from our own strengths and lived experience, and receive support in learning the skills we need to illuminate our blind spots and heal our shadow states.

Our community is built on a sense of shared “hyper-values,” spiritual realizations which underpin all other values, the most essential of which is love. We believe broadly in universal compassion and that Love is the driving force of Life. On this basis there is space for all experiences and emotions; yet we also understand that love sometimes involves labeling something as unskillful or harmful. It is a duty of Love to be present to, and honest about, the impact that an event or behavior has had on somebody. Love is also a desire to extend care and be present for the healing process and learning more skillful ways of living.

Our community is non-competitive. We value the sincere desire to give and receive help; practicing this makes it easy to feel joy for others’ success. We are committed to paths of nonviolence, but this doesn’t mean that teachings or the pursuit of wisdom is always gentle and never blunt. We prize candid conversations, emotional transparency, and collaborative healing and learning.

We are individual seekers working together in service to the mass evolution of consciousness– not transcending this life into a utopian concept of consciousness, but making room for the whole experience of this life as it is, loving people where they are. We believe that each of us has an opportunity to step into a life where we are flourishing, and that this looks completely different in different countries, cultures, family systems, social values, political values, etc.

We don’t aim to prescribe the right path, we are just here to help you discover what is “right” for you. Every spiritual perspective or practice in history was formed to solve a problem. If we know the problem(s) that the perspective or practice is trying to solve, then we can apply the perspective/practice more appropriately. This allows us to create better educational systems, be more discerning in how we apply modern scientific knowledge to a problem, how we apply religious thought, or political paradigms, or any spiritual/intellectual tools we may choose to take up.

The meditative living practice offered by YourTurn Meditative Living is simple yet powerful. I was desperately looking for something to heal my past trauma and fill my inner void….I am welcome with open arms and without any judgment, the interactive experiences, and the techniques taught are practical and highly effective.
